Start the Countdown to Change on Sunday!

Friday, October 27th, 2006

Jon Tester will come roaring into the final stretch of our grassroots campaign to bring honesty and integrity to the U.S. Senate this Sunday with the kick off of his Countdown to Change Tour across Montana.

The tour begins on Sunday, Oct. 29, in Fort Belknap and ends with a rally in Great Falls on the evening of Monday, Nov. 6.

During the tour, Tester will meet with Montanans across the state to talk about his plans for boosting agriculture; creating more good-paying jobs; working to providing quality, affordable health care; making education more affordable; and spurring domestic energy production.

Click here for the full tour schedule and to sign up to attend a rally in or near your hometown.

Also be sure to check back here on the TesterTime blog beginning next week for updates and photos from the road. And help us get the word out by downloading and posting flyers for the tour and using our ‘tell-a-friend’ online tools.

Netroots for Tester, Bloggers for Tester

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006

We’re launching two exciting new ways for online activists to get involved in the campaign this week. Netroots for Tester is an opportunity for folks from the web to join the campaign. We’ll keep in touch with news updates and the latest info from inside the campaign.

And, if you have your own blog, or post regular diaries on a blog community site, join Bloggers for Tester for news items that may be of interest to your readers.

Your help to this point has built a strong grassroots campaign, with supporters all across Montana and America. Contributions from the netroots have helped build the campaign, especially through projects like the Netroots August push on ActBlue. But there’s more we can do together to change the face of Washington and lift Jon Tester to victory in November.

With three months until the election, we will need all hands on deck, ready to respond to right-wing attacks and promote our positive vision for Real Change in Washington. You can help us go the extra mile by joining Netroots for Tester or Bloggers for Tester today.

Happy Birthday, Jon!

Sunday, August 20th, 2006

We had a great round of parties all over Montana this evening. Here in Helena, I stopped by two events, both of which had a very energized group of supporters ready to help out over the next three months.

There were nearly 50 people on hand for our grand opening event at the Helena office — located downtown at 48 North Last Chance Gulch. I also stopped by a grassroots party here in Helena. It was great to talk to folks about the race and finally meet with some of the people helping drive the campaign forward in their neighborhoods.

Hosting a house party is a great way to get your friends connected with the campaign. Meeting people face-to-face — talking about the race and hearing from Jon on the campaign trail is a perfect way to translate energy and ideas into action. Keep your eye out for opportunities to host a party in the future.

Conrad Burnsssss.

Burnsssss Offends Hardworking Firefighters.

Conrad Burnsssss was recently forced to apologize for berating an elite firefighting squad at a local airport after they had just quelled a 92,000 acre blaze in Eastern Montana after a report of the incident was released to the media. Burns hissed that the firefighters didn’t do “a God damned thing and that the firefighters just “sit around on the job. The incident drew sharp rebukes from Montanans and Virginians.

V at Left in the West recently posted that their party has passed their initial fundraising goal and that they are going to double their target for Sunday evening. Our RSVP lists for other events across the state are growing as the excitement builds for Jon’s 50th birthday this weekend.
